Release
Date: November 1997
Nearly seven years since his last album, and ten years from
his last hit, Carmine released his critically acclaimed comeback
album: "DAYS THAT WON'T COME BACK". Recorded in Austin,
Texas at Willie Nelson's famed Arlyn Studios, Carmine returned
to his musical roots and produced his very own "Sergeant
Peppers with Parmesan Cheese"" masterpiece.
"We recorded it in ten days", said Carmine in a 1997
interview with Rolling Stone Magazine. "I just flew to
Texas one day, and a week and a half later we were done!"
Within
six months it became Carmine's best selling album to date. Critics
and fans praised the effort and voted it "1997 Comeback
Album of the Year". The
album reestablished Carmine as an iconic songwriter amongst
the ranks of Dylan, Lennon, and Groucho.
